South Africa
You can visit South Africa WITHOUT a visa for up to 90 days for business or tourism. For more information on visas, contact the South African High Commission. Check the expiry date of your visa or entry stamp and ensure you do not overstay.
Requirements for entering South Africa
- A valid and acceptable passport or travel document for your intended stay
- At least one blank page in your passport for endorsements
- A valid visa, if required
- Sufficient funds to pay for your day-to-day expenses during your stay
- Yellow fever certificates if your journey starts or entails passing through the yellow fever belt of Africa or South America
If you have children (minors) travelling with you or joining in South Africa, you will need to provide the following additional documents:
- Proof of guardianship or custody or
- Consent from the guardian in the case of an unaccompanied minor
For citizens of countries not exempt there are the following requirements:
- A passport or travel document valid for no less than 30 days after the expiry of your intended visit
- Your passport must have at least TWO unused page for entry / departure endorsements
- A completed Form BI-84 (application for a visa)
- Payment of the prescribed fee
- A yellow-fever vaccination certificate (if required)
- Statement and/or documentation confirming the purpose and duration of your visit
- Two colour passport photographs
- A return or onward ticket if you are travelling by air
Proof of financial means to pay for your living expenses while in South Africa in the form of:
- Bank statements
- Salary advances
- Undertakings by the host(s) in South Africa
- Bursary
- Medical cover or
- Cash available (including credit cards and travellers’ cheques)

Kingdom of Eswatini (Swaziland)
For tourist visits, visas are NOT required by citizens of most Commonwealth countries, the USA, Japan, most European Union countries and certain other countries. Tourist or business travellers are allowed to visit Eswatini for up to 30 days. Single Entry visa is (SZL/ZAR80).
For citizens of countries not exempt there are the following requirements:
- Tourism visa
- A passport valid for at least three months
- 1 Passport size photo
- Booking and proof of payment for the accommodation in Eswatini or
- Invitation letter, name, passport number, cellphone number of the person they will be staying with in the country if it is not paid accommodation.

Mozambique
The general principle is that if you are not a Mozambican citizen, you MUST have a visa to enter Mozambique.
However, citizens of the following countries DO NOT need a visa for this tour:
Mozambique has introduced a new visa exemption program for ordinary passport holders for nationals from Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Ivory Coast, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and the United States for a 30-day stay (renewable for an additional 30 days upon justification) for business and tourism. The newly added visa-exempt nationals may travel to Mozambique with their travel documents and pay a processing fee of MZN 650 upon arrival.
The citizens of Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius, Swaziland, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe do not require an entry visa when travelling to Mozambique for no more than 30 days and not for residence or working purposes.
Border visas may also be granted for tourism purposes to foreign nationals coming from a country where there is an Embassy or Consular. Representation of the Republic of Mozambique that, for duly justified reasons, has not been able to apply for a visa prior to his trip. The border visa is valid for two entries and allows the holder to stay in the country for a period of up to 30 days, not extendable, counted from the date of the first entry.
For citizens of countries not exempt there are the following requirements:
- Tourism visa
- A copy of the flight itinerary
- A copy from the hotel
Other requirements:
- Submit an original passport, valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Mozambique and with at least 1 blank page for a visa. Amendment pages are excluded.
- Duly completed Visa Application Form. It is very important providing all the information required, including the name and address of your place of stay in Mozambique. Be advised that lack of information may result in delay or even denial of your application.
- Submit two passport size photographs (passport photos must be in colour and against a white background)
- Include a self-addressed envelope or a pre-paid air bill with a tracking number, unless the application is brought to the Embassy in person.
- Payments must be in Euros, and payable by bank transfer. After payment you are entitled to a pick-up slip.
- Invitations by organizations operating in Mozambique or friends must include a copy of their legal status issued by the Mozambican authorities.
- Invitations by non-citizens living in Mozambique must include a copy of “DIRE” as proof of residence.
- Groups of visitors invited by organizations are required to attach one invitation per visa application form.
- Persons under the age of 18 must attach a parental travel consent letter to the visa application form.
- The processing time for all kinds of visa is 10 working days for normal. Urgent Processing requires 3 to 4 working days and express services will take 2 working days.
- If the applicant has been in a Yellow Fever endemic country, the applicant must bring a Yellow Fever Certificate.
