Experience the awe-inspiring beauty of South Africa’s largest national park during three professional game drives over the course of the weekend. Take a moment to reflect by the campfire at night before heading to your park accommodation, where the natural sounds of wildlife will serenade you to sleep. Let’s go safari and make your game sighting wishlist in the African bushveld come true.
Meet at the designated Rest Camp in the Kruger Park Friday afternoon at 2PM and check in to our accommodation. We will set off on our first game drive with a professional operator. It will be a sunset drive to get us into a relaxed mood for the weekend. Keep a lookout for Leopards and other nocturnals during the drive.
There will be a braai for dinner and a relaxing campfire to end the day.
We will wake up early, enjoy coffee, rusks and watch the sun rise over the bushveld on our sunrise game drive! Be on the lookout and see who is first to see all of the Big 5.
A hearty breakfast will be enjoyed upon our return from our morning expedition where guests will then have time to relax, explore the restcamp and views of the indigenous surroundings before we meet for lunch at the restaurant.
We will end the day with a thrilling sunset game drive on the lookout for animals on our wishlists. The Kruger Park boasts 147 different species of mammals, there’s a good chance we see your favourite.
Dinner will be served around the campfire, whereafter guests will retire to their chalets for a good night’s rest.
The last day will start with a delicious breakfast before we depart for home.
Guests may choose to do a self drive safari before leaving the park on the last day.
Kruger National Park is extremely popular and booked well in advance. The SANParks accommodation is standardised across the selected Rest Camps namely, Olifants, Skukuza, Pretoriuskop, Lower Sabie, Berg-en-Dal, Crocodile Bridge, Letaba and Shingwedzi. The Rest Camp selection is subject to availability and will be communicated to clients 14 days before the arrival date.
The trip plan has been carefully designed to make optimal use of the time available; this tour commences at approximately 2PM when guests arrive at the Rest Camp.
Flights must be selected with the earliest possible arrival times, and guests should arrive giving themselves enough time to be at the tour location at 2PM on Day 1 of the tour. A suggestion may be to arrive the day before the tour start date and book into one of the many airport hotels at our Johannesburg International Airport.
This all depends on the season in which you plan to visit and the locations on the specific tour you book. There is a list of items to pack that can be seen by following this link What to pack checklist.
