Mossel Bay

Mossel Bay is a harbour town on the Garden Route known for its wide Santos beach, Great White Shark population, thrilling ocean adventures and good diving. It is also known as one of the best shark cage diving locations in South Africa.

The Bartolomeu Dias Museum Complex in Mossel Bay includes the Maritime Museum, the Shell Museum and botanical gardens. The Post Office Tree, a Milkwood Tree in the complex, has been used as a mail collection point since the 1500s making it South Africa’s oldest post office.

While in Mossel Bay you can also experience the Mossel Bay zipline (the longest over the ocean zipline in the world) and enjoy eating Mussels and Oysters for which the town is also famous. Spend time whale watching and relax with beautiful views while you relax in this unforgettable seaside haven.
